About Attorney Idan Moldavski
Idan Moldavski is an Israeli attorney based in Tel Aviv. He has worked in refugee and immigration law since 2014 and has been a member of the Israel Bar since 2020. He holds two LL.M. degrees — from Northwestern University in Chicago and from Tel Aviv University.
Throughout his career, Attorney Moldavski has represented clients before courts across Israel, the Population and Immigration Authority, and various administrative tribunals. He brings to every case a combination of deep academic knowledge, practical experience, and a human approach.
Since 2014, Attorney Moldavski has worked with HIAS Israel — first as a Legal Fellow and, since 2020, as an attorney — advising and representing refugees and asylum seekers.
Over the years, Attorney Moldavski held various positions at law firms in Tel Aviv, and today he runs his own independent practice in the city, where he handles each case personally and remains committed to the principles of justice and professional ethics.

How do I contact the office and what happens after?
You can contact the office by phone, email, or through the contact form on our website. After receiving your inquiry, we will get back to you within one business day to schedule a consultation. In urgent cases, please indicate this explicitly and we will do our best to respond promptly.
Can meetings be held remotely, without coming to the office?
Yes. The office holds in-person meetings in Tel Aviv, but also offers video or phone meetings for the client's convenience. This is especially relevant for those living outside the central area or who are abroad at the time of contact.
What happens during an initial consultation?
During the first meeting, we listen to your story, review relevant documents, and explain the legal options available to you. The meeting takes place in a relaxed and pressure-free environment.
Is any commitment required before starting treatment?
No. The initial consultation does not obligate you to continued representation. Only after the engagement terms have been fully explained and you have signed a detailed representation agreement does the formal legal treatment begin.
What does the representation agreement include?
The representation agreement explicitly defines the scope of the agreed service, the fee structure, and payment schedules. A clear written agreement is an integral part of how the office operates — so there are no surprises down the road.
How are fees and payment terms determined?
Fees are determined based on the complexity of the case and the type of proceeding. During the initial consultation, we will present a transparent and detailed fee proposal — no surprises.
How is ongoing communication maintained with the client during treatment?
The office believes in full transparency throughout the entire process. You will receive updates on significant developments in your case and can reach out with questions at any stage. The goal is for you to feel involved and informed, not just at the conclusion.
Before which courts does the attorney appear?
Attorney Moldavski appears before the Magistrates' Courts; the District Courts, including when sitting as Courts for Administrative Affairs; and the Supreme Court, including when sitting as the High Court of Justice. He also appears before the Appeals Tribunal, the Custody Review Tribunal, the Population and Immigration Authority and other administrative bodies.
Is service available in English or Russian?
Absolutely. The office provides full service in Hebrew, English, and Russian, including managing proceedings, drafting documents, and ongoing communication in your preferred language.
What happens after the case is concluded?
At the conclusion of representation, all relevant documents are transferred to the client, ensuring they have all necessary information. Former clients are welcome to contact the office again in the future for any new question or legal need.
